ETIT Department at TUD:

The department of “Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ETIT)” holds a special place in the history of electrical engineering. In 1882, the first chair of Electrical Engineering worldwide was established at Darmstadt with Professor Erasmus Kittler as the chairperson. Even till date, education in electrical engineering at Darmstadt is recognized as one of the best in Germany and worldwide.

EPE Program at TUD:

The international master program in “Electrical power engineering” has been set up by the department of ETIT to cater to the needs of international students with a keen interest in electrical power engineering. The master program is taught mainly in English.

It is jointly organised by the following five institutes of ETIT department:

• Electrical Power Systems
• Electrical Energy Conversion
• Renewable Energies
• High Voltage Technology
• Power Electronics and Drive Control
